This comprehensive 2 day course meets RABQSA competency unit for EM and builds on the skills developed in the prerequisite 2 day course ‘Becoming a Skilled auditor”, to provide participants with the three RABQSA competency units AU, TL and EM.

What is covered in the course?
Delegates will understand the new philosophies, principles and practices of EMS, the detail of ISO 14001 : 2004, and be able to:
•    Identify environmental aspects and their impacts
•    Apply an EMS to various organisational situations
•    Integrate an EMS with other management systems such as Quality and Safety
•    Understand how an EMS should work to the benefit of an organisation
•    Recognise the documentation and records requirements of ISO 14001

After successful completion of this course you will have the knowledge to be able to conduct internal or external environmental management systems (EMS) audits . You may also apply for provisional auditor grade under RABQSA certification scheme.

This course is designed to cater for,
•    People who are required to undertake external audits of environmental management systems
•    Managers who receive environmental audit reports
•    People wishing to attain a practical understanding of environmental standard requirements

The program is not industry specific as the underlying principles apply across all areas.

Prerequisites
To become a recognised EM auditor participants must have recently successfully completed
•    Becoming a Skilled Auditor – RABQSA AU and TL or equivalent

What do participants receive?
Each participant upon successful completion of the course will receive a Certificate of Attainment which identifies 1 RABQSA competency:
•    RABQSA EM

This qualification is internationally recognised.
